While Maryland was at the forefront of the effort to forbid employers from requiring employees to give access to their facebook accounts, there is still plenty of room for snooping. And employees have probably already given their consent. Did you read everything you signed on the first day of work? Have you read the updates to the employee manual?
Employees should assume that anything they do or look at on a company computer can be viewed. If you are communicating by email with your lawyer, don’t pick that email up on a company computer or a company-owned smart phone.
